Altar Servers

Altar serving is a great opportunity for our youth to experience the Mass as an active participant, to develop life skills (such as responsibility, serving others, self-confidence, punctuality, and teamwork), and to become a part of the Church community.  It also gives youth a greater appreciation for the Mass and a better understanding of the different parts of the Mass (and why we use certain symbols, gestures and responses). 

Youth in grades 3 & up, who have received First Eucharist, are eligible to altar serve.

Altar Servers will be assigned to Masses at both Blessed Sacrament and St. Mary parishes based on availability and necessity.  Training is provided.
